1 Curriculum Vitae Guide Instructions: The curriculum vitae content submitted for the Fulbright Specialist Roster application should be legible, comprehensive, tailored to present your work history, academic and professional experience, and strengths for the selected discipline and specialization, as well as convey your potential contributions to the program. Do not include family details, personal or office contact information, web links, a list of contacts for additional references, explanations for changes in employment, or salary information. As a reminder, Specialists primarily work with colleagues at non‐U.S. post‐secondary academic institutions. In the CV, eligible professionals and artists outside academe must highlight the qualifications that reflect: (1) experience as a college/university teacher or trainer; and/or (2) how their experience could benefit foreign academic institutions. The curriculum vitae content must be no more 25,000 characters, spaces included. NOTE: Format the document as necessary for clarity and legibility before proceeding using the following guidelines: ‐ Separate and clearly identify section headers (e.g. use caps for headings). ‐ Special formatting will not transfer. Remove tabs, bold, underlined, or italicized text, bullets, extra spacing, and indents. ‐ Provide English translation for any citations listed in a foreign language. ‐ For each acronym, please ensure that the initial listing of that acronym is clearly defined. ‐ If there are concerns with the character limits, for space consideration, you may separate each item in a section (with limited text) using a semicolon or number rather than a hard return, if appropriate. While there is no single correct style or format for creating an eligible curriculum vitae, the information included here serves as a guide for compiling and organizing your content. 2 1.
