More spontaneous events will appear on our facebook page, so make sure to check back regularly! 1)waves SURF TRIPS Waves Trips are at heart of the Club. Some have been organised but there’s more to come and we want YOUR input. Give us your feedback. What do you want? When do you want it? Waves Surf Weekend WHEN? WHERE? how much? The operator, Escape Surf School (www.escapesurfschool.co.uk), is the highest qualified surf school in the UK and boost the British junior team head coach as their lead surf coach. We will leave Aston at 10am on Friday, have a short lunch break in Exeter and arrive in Newquay late afternoon. On the Sunday we get back to Aston around 10pm. March 8th - 10th Members only. Deposit payable by noon Wednesday Feb 20. Full amount due 3 days before trip. Meeting outside the Guild on 08/03 at 9:30am for a 10am departure. Newquay, Cornwall We will be staying at the Escape Surf School’s Surf n’ Stay. Surfing will be on location. Heated changing rooms overlooking the beach, secure lock­ ers and power showers. Surf social with drinks in on-site bar. £85 +/- £10 Includes: - transportation - two nights’ accommodation - breakfast - 2 surf lessons - all equipment hire - 25% off food and drinks £40 deposit Waves Surf weekend WHEN? WHERE? how much? We’ll set off Friday morning and have a pit-stop in Bristol for lunch. Then we’ll continue to Llangennith in Gower where there’s some of the best beaches. We’ll camp at Hillend and on Saturday we’ll have two hours’ surf lessons (beginners and advanced) plus full day equipment hire. On Sunday morning can rent and surf for half-day before heading back home after lunch. www.wsfsurfschool.co.uk April Friday - Sunday Dates TBC Llangennith, Gower, Wales Welsh Surfing Federation (based there) will provide training and surf equipment hire. On top of Exeter and Bristol - places we’ll stop by on our way to our weekend surfing des­ tinations - we’ll hit a couple of cities in the UK where we will do a bit of sightseeing followed by a pub lunch or picnic and enjoy a relaxed afternoon before heading back home. The Malverns are range of mystical-looking hills that inspired the Middle-Earth setting in Tolkien’s books.
