Le plaisir de la vengeance Biopolitiques du viol The pleasure of revenge biopolitics of rape Date de réception Marta Segarra Montaner Universitat de Barcelona martasegarra ub edu Date d ? évaluation Date d ? acceptation Abstract This paper analyzes Baise-moi by Virginie Despentes the novel and the ?lm as an example of the rape and revenge genre Based on the notion of ??biopolitics ? as theorized by Michel Foucault as well as in other critical concepts developed by Agamben Derrida Devereux Freud Kristeva and Preciado the essay analyzes the ??biopolitics of resistance ? against heteropatriarchal biopower o ?ered by Baise-moi These biopolitics are related here to two myths studied by psychoanalysis the story of Baubo and the mythological ?gure of Medusa both based on the exhibition of female sex Despentes ? text playing with the rules of pornography insists on the characterization of the female body by holes but removes the connotations of vulnerability and passivity usually assigned to this body At the same time it pierces the hermetically sealed male body which turns to be the victim of female violence This ??holed body ? loses its threatening power since it reminds us of castration and death Moreover the text turns the victim ? s passivity into a hospitable openness to the other Derrida Baise-moi mixes up genres and genders ??feminine ? passivity and ??masculine ? activity the phallic body and the holed body but also the violence in icted and the violence su ?ered pleasure and pain Thus the borders between man and woman as well as between human and animal become blurred creating lines of escape from the prison of the ??anthropomorphic machine ? Resumen Este artículo analiza Baise-moi de Virginie Despentes tanto la novela como la película como ejemplo del género rape and revenge Partiendo de la teorización sobre la ??biopolítica ? desarrollada por Michel Foucault y apoyándose en otras bases críticas Agamben Derrida Devereux Freud Kristeva Preciado ? este análisis muestra las biopolitícas de resistencia ? que propone Baise-moi contra el biopoder heteropatriarcal Estas biopolíticas se relacionan con dos mitos estudiados por el psicoanálisis la historia de Baubo y la ?gura mitológica de Medusa ambos basados en la exhibición del sexo femenino El presente estudio demuestra que el texto de Despentes jugando con los códigos de la pornografía insiste en el carácter agujereado de los cuerpos de las mujeres pero elimina las connotaciones de vulnerabilidad y de pasividad que se asocian generalmente a esos cuerpos al mismo tiempo agujerea el cuerpo hermético e invulnerable del hombre transformándolo en víctima
