Gently wash off the magic paper or transfer pen. 6. Following the template, cut out 4 pieces of calico in the shape of the ear. You may need to give your fabric a quick iron to smooth out any creases. 7. Cut a long piece of thread in color 310 (black) and separate it into 3 strands. Tie a knot at one end and thread your needle with it. 8. Working 1.5cm/.6” from the edge of the ears, work in back stitch around the curved edge of two of the ear pieces. 9. Place these two pieces on top of the remaining two ear pieces with the back of the stitching face up, so that the front of the stitching is sandwiched in the middle. 10. Cut a long piece of thread in color 3865 (white), working 0.5cm/0.2” from the edge, work in back stitch around the curved edges of the two ears. Make sure not to stitch up the bottom edge. 11. Turn your ears inside out by pushing them through in on themselves at the top and then down through the hole at the bottom. 12. Iron the ears so they are nice and flat. 13. Position your ear so that right sides of the ear and the bag are facing, with the top of the ears pointing towards the bottom of the bag. The bottom opening of the ears should sit approx 5mm above the top of the bag where the straps are. 1.
