Bear in mind that we may not cover some topics until later on in the course Vocab Learn vocabulary for a specific topic / Methods? / Specific target ie get 90% right in vocab tests Grammar Gender of words, agreement of adjectives, learn (and conjugate) verbs, difference between ‘vous’ and ‘tu’ Speaking Confidence, ask and answer questions, speak without referring to notes, understanding questions, trying out different ways of asking questions, Listening Understand (increasing) instructions in French, better understanding French spoken on video/cd Reading Start to understand more complicated written instructions, understanding of longer reading passages Writing Start to write more accurate short/longer phrases, understand spelling patterns, correct spelling in vocabulary tests Extra activities? Reading French magazines/papers/books, looking at French websites, extra grammar practise(!) Example: J'habite à Exeter. I live in Exeter. With a country, it's a different story... THE VERB 'HABITER' + A COUNTRY If the country is masculine, you make the following change: à – le – Royaume-Uni → au Royaume-Uni.
