Undergraduate LLI Students o CThesis Guidelines and Procedure Student Quali ?cation Students who have already taken and passed the preliminary subject General Statistics are petri ?ed to take Research subject and conduct thesis writing Research Adviser's Quali ?cations Adviser for each class will be assigned by the Chairperson of the department of the College of Business Administration As much as possible the adviser is willing and available for consultation with the class he she handles and extends support to other students He She must observe research ethics and should strictly conform with the College research guidelines Thesis Writing Procedures Research class will be collapsed into - students per group Research topics could be on the group's interests FOREWORD One of the current -Point Agenda of the Strategic Objective of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines is Embedding a Culture of Research and the College of Business Administration CBA ?nds it necessary to come up with this manual in order to produce better student research outputs guided with a standard format that is followed in line with the existing research format of the University This CBA Research Manual will serve as the standard basis of all CBA undergraduate students who are taking Research subjects as one of the requirements in their respective programs C Each group will submit at least three copies of their proposed study for evaluation two days before the scheduled proposal defense to their research adviser Oral Defense Proposal Defense Proposal defense will be scheduled by the research adviser with the agreement Of the class The research adviser will choose the members of the panel however the class may recommend faculty members whom they prefer to be included in the panel of evaluators Members of the panel of evaluators will be composed of the research adviser as Chair of the panel and two other faculty as members of the panel of evaluators Once the research study passed the panel of evaluators and all of their suggestions recommendations were adapted a ?nal copy of the proposal will be given to the research adviser who will recommend it for ?nal oral I which are aligned with PUP's research thrust and priorities reinforced by signi ?cant contributions they may bring to their respective departments and the College However the research adviser may suggest topics for possible study but should not make it compulsory or should not impose any topic to students Each group must present three possible topics staling the rationale signi ?cance of the study target respondents scope and limitations and sampling techniques of the topics being proposed for the approval of the research adviser Upon approval of the research ? adviser of
