Introduction Reward Point extension allows Magento store to increase customer loyalty by reward them different number of points while purchasing products or do certain actions in store. How Reward Point module works Customers will receive points then they register, write review for product, refer friend to your store or purchase products…These points will be used as discount amount when they purchase product in your store next time. Reward Point is very popular in both online and offline e-commerce. By giving customers points for each purchase, they will more likely to visit your store to buy or find new products. And when they receive discount regularly, it’s a good chance that they will buy your products again. Installation Step 1: Go to www.magebuzz.com, log in your account and go to My Account > My Downloadable Products. Download extension package with appropriate version for your Magento site. Step 2: Extract package into your local computer. You will find 2 folders: app and skin. Step 3: Log into Magento backend and go to System > Cache Management, disable all cache type. Step 4: Connect to your Magento site using FTP client. Upload 2 folders app and skin to root folder of Magento site. Step 5: Navigate to top menu of backend, if you see “Reward Point” menu, the module is installed correctly. Step 6: Enable Cache. III. Configuration 1. Initial Configuration After installing, you will need to do initial setup including basic reward rules, reward point policy, referral system… 1.1. Reward Point Policy page First, you should create a CMS page which introduces about reward points policy of your stores. Go to CMS > Manage CMS pages and add new page. After creating new CMS page, go to Reward Point > Settings. In General tab, select new page for Reward Point Information Page field. Reward Point User Guide Copyright © 2012 – MageBuzz Store 5 1.2. General Settings Go to Reward Point > Settings, you can see 5 tabs for configuring the module. General: general configuration, such as: enable / disable module, point unit name, minimum point to redeem… In Earning Points Config, you can configure number of points which customers can earn for certain actions: registration, newsletter sign up, review product… Set to zero if you don’t want to reward point for that action. Reward Point User Guide Copyright © 2012 – MageBuzz Store 6 For each action, you can set limitation for number of points which customers can earn per day. This is a good way to prevent spammers. Referral System Config: you can enable / disable referral feature. If you want to allow customers to earn points by referring their friend, you leave it enabled. Manage Rules & Rates a) Reward Point Rule Reward point rule is used to define number of points which customers can earn when they purchase a certain product, product from a category or their order satisfies a rule. Reward Point User Guide Copyright © 2012 – MageBuzz Store 8 You can define different rules for each store or customer group but only the highest priority rule is applied when customers purchase at your store. b) Reward Point Rate Go to Reward Point > Manage Rate, you can define exchange rate between point and money in the system. There are 2 directions: - Money to Point: Define amount of money which customers need to spend to earn appropriate amount of points. - Point to Money: Define amount of points which customers can use to redeem for appropriate amount of money. Add / Subtract User Points From admin panel, you can add or subtract points of customers manually. The module allows you to do that in bulk. Go to Reward Point > Manage Users, select users you want to change points. Select action “Add Point” and enter number of points to change. Enter a negative number if you want to subtract customers’ points balance. IV.
