Located in the first two floors of this hall, it started its operations with a barely 10,000 book collection and a 100 seating capacity reading area. In 1985, a four-storey library building was built as a generous gift from the Office of American Schools and Hospitals Abroad, USAID, under the sponsorship of the Christian Brothers Conference Illinois, alumni and benefactors. Today, the DLSU Libraries has evolved into a system of libraries. The main library, now called the Learning Commons, moved into its new home at the Henry Sy, Sr. Hall in December 2012. Satellite libraries that cater to specialized users were also established - two at the Taft Campus (AGH Law Library and the Br. Benedict Learning Resource Center), one at the Makati Exten- sion Campus, another one at the Ortigas Extension Campus, and three (the College Library, the Integrat- ed School Library and the Pre-School Library) at the Science and Technology Complex, Biñan, Laguna.
