Résultat d’une concertation étroite entre le département des Hauts-de-Seine, l’Établissement public d’aménagement de La Défense (EPAD), la Ville de Courbevoie et l’Atelier de Paysage Urbain, ce projet représente un nouvel aménagement urbain qui promet de régénérer cette partie du bord de Seine adjacente au Pont de Neuilly et d’insufﬂer une nouvelle vie au site. Grâce à la création d'un parc à ses pieds, Hermitage Plaza permettra, pour la première fois, d’ouvrir la rive du ﬂeuve aux piétons, tout en apportant au quartier d’affaires de La Défense une nouvelle animation. Fruit de la collaboration du Groupe Hermitage, le promoteur – investisseur, et de Foster + Partners, l’architecte, Hermitage Plaza sera composé de deux tours, offrant une mixité d’usages inédite à Paris. La première, haute de 91 étages, accueillera un hôtel cinq étoiles, un centre de thalasso et des appartements panoramiques et la seconde, haute de 93 étages, des bureaux et, également, des appartements. Elles s'élèveront au-dessus d'un vaste socle aménagé en place publique, bordé de magasins, de boutiques, de restaurants et de cafés. THE TALLEST MIXED-USE TOWER IN WESTERN EUROPE La Défense is the gateway to Paris where the future Hermitage Plaza will become the tallest mixed-use tower in Western Europe. The result of a close collaboration with the Departement de Hauts-de-Seine, the Public Establishment for Urban Planning of La Défense (EPAD), the City of Courbevoie and the Atelier de Paysage Urbain, this project promises to regenerate and inject life into the area adjacent to the Pont de Neuilly, with a sustainable, high-density scheme. The development will open up the Seine riverbanks to pedestrians for the ﬁrst time, bringing the life of central Paris to this business district. Hermitage Plaza developed by Hermitage and designed by Foster + Partners will create a thriving new mixed-use destination for Paris. Set in a prime location on the left bank of the River Seine, the development is characterised by two 323-metre-high structures, which will rise to form the tallest mixed-use towers in Western Europe. One tower contains a ﬁve-star hotel, spa and luxury apartments, while a second accommodates ofﬁces and serviced apartments. A broad podium adds life to the square, with shops, cafés and restaurants fringing the public space and riverside park. At a height of 323 metres, Hermitage Plaza will be the tallest multi-purpose building ever erected in Western Europe. A veiled reference to the Eiffel Tower, it will glorify the skyline of greater Paris. Unlike its predecessors, it will accommodate residents at a distinguished riverside address that is animated twenty-four hours a day, 365 days a year. A NEW PRESENCE ON THE GROUND… AND IN THE AIR Hermitage Plaza will inject new community life into the business district, and will transform the area during the evenings and at weekends. A dramatic addition to the Paris skyline at its apex, the development will ‘green’ the river’s edge to create an important new public space where it touches the ground.
